Introducing..........LOVE STORY SUNDAY.
Every Sunday will feature a new couple and their beautiful love story.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints wrote the Proclamation to the Family. It shares beautifully what we believe regarding families. My favorite part says:
"The family is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is essential to His eternal plan. Children are entitled to birth within the bonds of matrimony, and to be reared by a father and a mother who honor marital vows with complete fidelity. Happiness in family life is most likely to be achieved when founded upon the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. Successful marriages and families are established and maintained on principles of faith, prayer, repentance, forgiveness, respect, love, compassion, work, and wholesome recreational activities."
The sanctity, importance, and basic structure of the family is being attacked more than ever. Divorce rates are high, immorality is the norm and almost encouraged, infidelity is swept uner the rug and children aren't growing up in secure families where they are taught they have a mother and father who love each other.
Love Story Sunday is all about couples who are rising above the statistics and the degradation of the family unit. They aren't letting selfishness and evil into their homes and families. Instead, they are growing together daily in love and respect, and doing all they can to keep their families safe and eternal. My hope and vision for Love Story Sunday is for each of us to be inspired to keep our family relationships at the very top of our priority list and to be reminded about how wonderful true love is!!
