Jenny
Have you seen the movie Enchanted? I love it. I especially love this part. I could watch it constantly and be totally fine.
I have a really great husband. This song from Enchanted always makes me think of how I know Jeff loves me. So, here it is...
-When I'm feeling emotional (which is way more often than I'd like to admit), Jeff simply asks,
"Is it something I did?" Once he knows he's cleared of any wrong doing, he says,
"Is this one of those times you want me to just leave you alone?" or
"Do you want me to hold you?" or
"Can I do anything?" He's getting really good at knowing exactly what I need.
-After those emotional times when my eyes are puffy and I've finished the ugly cry (we all do it occasionally, right?), he says,
"You're so gorgeous. I love you so much."
-He brings me flowers. Particularly brightly colored Gerbera daisies which happen to be my very favorite. He doesn't do it just on my birthday or anniversary...it's just whenever. He totally surprises me randomly.
-Whether we're going on a date or just to the grocery store, he opens the car door for me. And the door at the store or restaurant or wherever else we go.
-He will do anything I ask him to do. Even if he just sat down and I ask him to get me something. He doesn't even complain about it. My favorite is when I ask him to clean the bathroom or the floor. His reply is:
"Of course I will. I don't think it needs to be done, but I will do it for you."
Good job, husband.
-In the winter, I often go outside to my car being cleared off. I hate scraping the windows of my car.
-I pretty much hate any car maintenance stuff, so he will also take my car to get the oil changed, car registered, put air in my tires, etc. if I ask him to.
-Jeff is patient. The most patient man I've ever met. He always waits for me and doesn't get mad because I'm always running late.
-He always says cute, cheesey, things. They're usually made up words to a well known song and it happens often and I love it. He also gets crafty and makes me cards with sayings such as,
"Like flowers that grow, such is my love." True story.
-He tells me he loves me. All the time. We have not had a single day where it has not been expressed multiple times.
-He takes the garbage out and puts dishes away. Those are two of my least favorite things to do. The entire 1 1/2 years we've been married, I've taken the garbage out maybe 5 times.
-He works full time and goes to school at night to support our little family and let me not work while I finished grad school.
-He is kind, compassionate, sensitive, funny, loving, gentle, so great with kids, random, and so perfect for me. This list could go on and on and on...
I feel so blessed every day when I wake up next to this guy and realize I get to be with him for eternity. Jeff is the most amazing man and I can't imagine my life with anyone else.

Jenny!! She's the total hero of the day! I was so happy to get this email from her, although it didn't surprise me because that's just how awesome she & Jeff are. Thanks for helping keep this blog alive....by a thread!!
I love, love, LOVE this list!! Jeff is a "real man" (as Dr. Laura would call him), and those are sometimes hard to find! In Oregon, my cousin and I were talking about how we snagged ourselves "real men" and how lucky we feel. Jeff & Jenny are and always will be two of our most favorite friends ever. Thanks again!
